Museum, Library and Art Gallery Visit
Wednesday 18 June 2025

We took a bus to the Museum, where we started the day doing a scavenger hunt.  It was lots of fun.  We found out that it took four years to build the Ashburton Bridge, which was started in 1927 and finished in 1931.  Wonder how long our second bridge is going to take to build?
Next at the Museum we were told about Matariki.

After the Museum we walked over to the Library and had morning tea outside in the sun.

The first thing we did in the Library was look around the children's section.  It is pretty cool.  Next we were given a tour of the rest of the Library.

After the Library we walked back to the Cenotaph and had lunch in the sun. Kueva had bought a rugby ball so we had a run around.

Our last two sessions were in the art gallery.  We were at the water colour pencil station first.  Luckily for us Mrs Mackenzie found some water colour pencils at KMart so we could finish our art.
The last session of the day was looking around the art gallery itself.  Mrs Mackenzie took photos of our favourite art pieces, which we will write about next week.
